Suggestions taken from the Deputy Commissioners of the districts for the third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic- Kaushal
Chandigarh, June 5: Haryana Finance Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal informed that the Chief Minister has directed the officers and Administrative Secretaries to visit the districts for 2-3 days in the next week and visit their departments to study and try to complete the projects which are getting delayed. He said that recently, Administrative Secretaries were allotted one district each so that they could visit the districts and expedite the work of main projects that have stalled. Apart from this, if the concerned minister is not able to attend the meeting of the District Public Grievance Redressal Committee in these districts, then the Administrative Secretary should take these meetings and review them.
Sh. Kaushal was interacting with the media persons here today.
He said that the Chief Minister has also given directions to visit any one village to get information about the facilities there and also talk to the progressive farmers there so that the income of the farmers can be doubled. Sh. Kaushal said that the goal of the present government as envisioned by Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi, is that the income of farmers should be doubled by the year 2022. He said that the governments of the entire country are moving forward in this direction and the Haryana Government is also working on it promptly. Information is being given to the farmers about which crops can increase their income. He said that if senior officers go to the districts, then the activities of the government will get a boost.
Regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, he said that the situation of COVID-19 in the state is under control and rate of infection has come down to 2.13 percent. Apart from this, although beds have been arranged in the state to deal with this pandemic during the second wave, to accommodate additional patients although the number of patients is now decreasing. But this availability will remain. He said that we are alert so that there isn’t another outbreak of this magnitude.
He said that Amphotericin B drug is required for the control of black fungus. In the past, there was a shortage, but the State Government has increased the availability of this medicine by coordinating with the Government of India and now the availability of medicine is increasing in the state. Apart from this, the State Government has also given global tenders. He said that in the coming time, the work will be done to get the patients out of the outbreak of this disease by providing medicines to the doctors.
Similarly, in a meeting recently held with all the Deputy Commissioners, Administrative Secretaries as well as officials of the Chief Minister’s Office, the Chief Minister said that due to the commendable work done by the Deputy Commissioners the impact of COVID-19 has reduced in the state. During this meeting, suggestions were also taken from the Deputy Commissioners regarding the third wave of the pandemic so that plans could be implemented to deal with the pandemic.
