Chandigarh, September 12 – The Haryana Public Service Commission conducted the Haryana Civil Service (Ex.Br.) & other Allied Services Preliminary Examination – 2021 today in two sessions from 10.00 AM to 12.00 Noon & from 3.00 PM to 5.00 PM.
Giving information in this regard an official spokesperson said that the Commission had advertised 155 vacancies of Haryana Civil Service ( Ex.Br. ) & other Allied Services in the month of March, 2021. A total number of 1,48,262 candidates applied for these posts which are the highest ever for the said Examination. He said that a total of 535 Examination Centres were established by the Commission for this Examination in 13 districts of the State namely, Ambala, Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula, Panipat, Rewari, Sirsa, Sonipat & Yamunanagar .
He further informed that 74,978 candidates appeared in the Examination as per the preliminary information available till evening of September 12, 2021. The Commission made elaborate arrangements for smooth and fair conduct of the Examination, CCTV cameras were installed in all the rooms in the Examination Centers and live videos from all rooms of the Examination Centers were monitored in the control room set up in the HPSC office , Panchkula, he added. He said that biometric attendance of all the candidates through IRIS scan was recorded. Intensive frisking of the candidates was also done in order to ensure that no candidate carries any electronic device or other material which can be used for breach of the sanctity of the Examination. Videography of all the candidates and all important processes were got done at all the Centres.
He further said that to block the mobile signals, Jammers were installed in all the Centres. For the convenience of the candidates, facility for keeping the baggage was also provided at the Centres. Police arrangements were made near the Examination Centers to maintain law and order.
Besides, senior officers of the district administration were appointed as Flying Squad Officers for regular checking of the Centres. The Examination was conducted in a peaceful, smooth, uninterrupted & fair manner, he added. He said that the Commission expressed its gratitude for the co – operation extended by the District Administration, Police and the candidates in the successful conduct of the examination.
