Chandigarh, May 3 – To rescue the state of Haryana from the highly contagious corona virus and to ensure each corona patient is given proper treatment the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is working day and night at grassroots level. For this, he is holding meetings with officers and is in touch with the Central Government as well. Furthermore efforts are being made to resolve the problems being faced by the people of the state.
To have a fair idea of the situation the Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal is not only interacting with the officers through video conferencing from Chandigarh but is visiting the hospitals in the field continuously. In the last one week, the Chief Minister has visited 17 districts and reviewed the preparations to deal with Corona. Due to these efforts of the Chief Minister, the situation regarding corona in the state is constantly improving and Haryana is moving steadily towards defeating COVID-19 in the state.
The Haryana government has deployed senior IAS officers in all the 22 districts to ensure proper arrangements to deal with problems related Corona. Along with this, several HCS officers have also been put on duty in many districts.
Sharing information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that if we compare the COVID-19 situation of last week with the present day it is evident that the state is recovering from the COVID-19 crisis. Be it the corona related fatality rate, the medical facilities being provided in the state, availability of medicines or hospitals, or the availability of oxygen, Haryana is consistently improving in every aspect so as to defeat corona. In Haryana, the fatality rate of corona on April 24, 2021 was 0.90 per cent, which has now come down to 0.87 percent. Similarly, in Haryana, on April 19, 2021, 3,663 patients recovered while on May 2, 2021, the corona related recoveries have almost tripled to 10,423, he added.
Furthermore, due to the efforts of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal, the Oxygen quota of the state has been enhanced. Divulging more details in this regard, he said that on April 22, 2021, the state’s oxygen quota was enhanced from 156 MT to 162 MT, while this quota has been further enhanced to 257 MT. The Haryana government has set up a State Level Control Room to monitor oxygen supply in the state. Besides this, six PSA technology based plants are ready in Faridabad, Sonipat, Karnal, Ambala, Panchkula and Hisar. Out of these, production has started from Sonipat plant and production will start in 3-4 days at the remaining plants.
He further said that vaccination is being done at a fast pace to fight the corona in Haryana. Vaccination of people between 18-44 years of age has also started by the State Government. Earlier, people older than 45 years were being vaccinated. So far, about 40 lakh people have been vaccinated. The spokesperson further added that there is sufficient availability of Remdesivir and other medicines in all the hospitals and medical colleges of the state and their supply is being ensured continuously as per the requirement.
Haryana has also imposed a lockdown for one week. Along with this, Corona curfew is being imposed in the state from 10 pm to 5 am. The state government is constantly trying to control the corona and for this it is necessary that the people of the state also adhere to the guidelines issued by the government.
Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has appealed to the people to get vaccinated and by doing so they will contribute in the fight against the pandemic.
