Haryana Girls bag two Medals in Archery during Khelo India Youth Games-2021

Chandigarh, June 12 – Proving their mettle once again in sports, Haryana Girls have completely dominated the Final archery competitions held today at shooting ground in Panjab University during Khelo India Youth Games-2021.

Ridhi of Karnal bagged Gold medal while Tamana of Rohtak won Silver medal in Women recurve archery competitions.

Pooja Khanna, para-olympian and senior coach in Haryana said that both the players have given a stellar performance in Women recurve archery competitions. She informed that earlier both international players had participated in World Archery Championship and bagged gold medals.

In addition to this, Avneet of Punjab won silver medal in Women recurve archery medal. Madala Surya Hamsini of Andhra Pradesh won Bronze medal while Vitasa Thakur of Madhya Pradesh won Bronze medal in the same competition.

All the medal winners were honoured by Deputy Commissioner, Chandigarh, Sh. Vinay Pratap Singh.

Assistant Director, Sports Authority of India, Sh. Devesh Yadav and Women Sports Coah Archery, Ms. Komal Sharma were also present on this occasion.
