Chandigarh, August 14 – Haryana Director General of Police (DGP) Sh. Manoj Yadava has expressed grief over the sad demise of two police personnel of Haryana 112 service, who lost their lives in a road accident in Ambala district.
Both the police personnel had reached the spot to investigate a road accident in the early morning, where unfortunately 4 people in the road mishap lost their lives including ASI Naseeb Singh and constable Balwinder.
In a condolence message issued here today, the DGP expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty to give them courage to bear this irreparable loss. Yadava himself reached Ambala and went to the spot where he took information about the entire incident from the district Superintendent of Police. He also reviewed the Emergency Response Support System. In order to prevent the recurrence of such unfortunate incidents in future, a study on in-depth analysis of the factors affecting road safety would be carried out and work will be done on it positively.*
He said that policemen are constantly out on duty and working tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of citizens. Financial assistance as per the policy will be provided to the next-of-kin of the deceased policemen.
Sh. Yadava also appealed to the police officers and personnel to be extra cautious and take special care of road safety while performing duties. At the same time, police must also aware citizens about all aspects of road and traffic safety to ensure the safety of others too.
It is noteworthy that after getting the information of a road accident on the National Highway this morning, when the team of 112 reached the spot to solve the case, a speeding truck from behind hit four persons including both the policemen present there.
