University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET) Panjab University, organised a welcome event “Connecting Minds: A Warm Welcome to Collaborative Interactions with Faculty and Students” for honouring Prof. Mohsen Rahmani from School of Science and technology, Nottingham Trent University, UK, on his visit to Panjab University, Chandigarh under the prestigious Royal Society Yusuf Hamied Visiting Fellowship. Professor Sanjeev Puri, Director of UIET, warmly welcomed Rahmani, highlighting the significance of international collaborations in academia and the exchange of knowledge.
Rahmani’s visit follows a strategic partnership seed grant initiated in 2021 between Nottingham Trent University and Panjab University, aimed at fostering collaborative research and academic exchanges. Dr. Gaurav Sapra, Assistant Professor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Associate Professor of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, were lauded for their efforts in expanding collaboration through this visit.
During the event, Dr. Sapra extended gratitude to the faculty, students, and his organizing team from the EEE department for their support and dedication. Rahmani’s visit serves as a testament to the commitment of both institutions to academic excellence and global engagement, further strengthening their partnership.
