In order to apprise all Returning Officers about the nomination procedure ahead of Vidhan Sabha poll, the District Administration on Wednesday imparted a special training to concerned officers so that nomination process could be conducted in a seamless manner.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (D)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Jaspreet Singh directed all the officers to implement the guidelines of the ECI in letter and spirit during nomination process to be started from January 25 to February 1. He said that there were 1975 booths in the district and scrutiny of papers would be done on February 2 besides withdrawal on February 4. The voting will take place on February 20, said the ADC adding that all Returning Officers should ensure requisite preparations as per the ECI guidelines and health protocols in their respective offices.
Besides others, Assistant Commissioner (Under Training) Ojasvi Alankar, all Returning Officers and Election Tehsildar Sukhdev Singh were also present.
