The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab extended its greetings to the people of the state and countrymen on Diwali, Bandi Chhor Diwas and Vishwakarma Day; the most popular festivals of the country, full of light of devotion, harmony and togetherness. In a statement issued here on Wednesday, AAP’s state president and MP Bhagwant Mann and Leader of Opposition Harpal Singh Cheema said that universal festivals like Diwali and Bandi Chhor Diwas keep Punjab and the country united; which is the soul of integrity and mutual harmony.

Bhagwant Mann and Harpal Singh Cheema appealed to the people of Punjab and the country to celebrate Diwali in a green, environment-friendly and safe manner. Bhagwant Mann said that the message of Diwali as well as Bandi Chhor Diwas was an example of the history of mutual communion; which marks the release of 52 Hindu Princes from the Gwalior fort by Sixth Guru Sri Hargobind Sahib ji on the Diwali festival in year 1612.
The AAP leaders greeted the people of Punjab and across the country on the occasion of Vishwakarma Day and appealed to them to celebrate these holy and prosperous festivals with their families and help the needy.
