Water Resources, PUDA, Town & Country Planning depts donate Rs.2.10 crore to CM Relief Fund

Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria appreciates officials/ staff for helping state fight the pandemic

 

Also appeals general public to donate generously

Chandigarh, April 17

Heeding to the earnest appeal of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh, Officials/Staff of Punjab Urban Development Authority (PUDA), Directorate of Town and Country Planning and Water Resources Department have contributed Rs. 2 crore 10 lakh 70000 into Punjab Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

An official spokesperson said that PUDA officials/ staff have donated Rs. 45.50 lakh and Rs. 5.20 lakh was contributed by Town and Country Planning officials and staff to help the state government fight the pandemic.

The spokesperson informed that officials/staff of Water Resources Department have donated Rs. 1.60 crore towards the fund for battling the deadly Coronavirus.

Appreciating the officials/staff for coming forward in fight against the deadly virus, Housing and Urban Development & Water Resources Minister Mr. Sukhbinder Singh Sarkaria said that this is a good gesture of the officials/staff to express their solidarity with the people of the state in this crisis. Notably, Punjab Chief Minister Relief Fund has been getting wholehearted support from goverment staffers, political leaders and the people from all other quarters of life.
