WHAT TO EAT DURING VIRTUAL SCHOOL LUNCH BREAKS

The pandemic hit India in March and ever since we have been locked inside our homes. There is no guarantee when things would be better or normal. At the moment, the only priority is to keep ourselves safe by practicing social distancing and washing our hands regularly. The extent of the virus is reducing but at a slow pace and it is important that we still take precautions. It is very unlikely to predict when schools and colleges would open again. They were shut down in March to contain the spread of the virus and since then all the studies are being carried out virtually. However, we can make these boring online classes fun for our kids by giving them some tasty snacks during their virtual lunch break. This might help uplift their mood and spirit.

1.Oatmeal-Oatmeal is very nutritious and beneficial for our health as it is rich in fibre. It would be great for the health of gut for your child and also make them full. One should not use oatmeal that is packed in packets. Buy plain oatmeal and add fruits and nuts to it with some jaggery.

2.Ragi Cookies- Another thing kids enjoy very much are cookies. However, ragi cookies are a healthy option. They are full of fibre which cleanses our digestive system. The amino acids present in ragi can do away with bad cholesterol in the body and enhance our immunity.

3.Steamed Dhokla- A steamed dhokla contains less oil and keeps the kid full for a long time. The curd used in the process provides good bacteria to the gut and jelps in digestion.

4.Spinach Idlis-Another great food is spinach idlis as all kids love them and spinach is something that kids hate to eat otherwise.
