Central and State Governments are dedicated to make the agriculture sector profitable – Dushyant Chautala
Chandigarh, November 19 – Haryana Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala extented gratitute for the welcoming decision taken by the Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi to withdraw the three new farm laws. At the same time, he said that he will talk to the Central Government to withdraw the cases registered against the farmers in Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi during the agitation. The Deputy Chief Minister said this while interacting with the mediapersons today in New Delhi.
The Deputy Chief Minister said that efforts will be made to clear the cases registered against farmers during the agitation, including those of non-lethal activities. He said that the cases registered in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi which are not very serious, they should be withdrawn and the courts should decide on the matters which are serious. Sh. Dushyant Chautala added that he will initiate talk with the Central Government on the same issue.

Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that on the auspicious occasion of Prakash Parv, Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi has taken a commendable decision in view of the long struggle of the farmers. He expressed hope that the Central Government would work towards making the agriculture sector better, more profitable by removing other obstacles in the path.
Deputy Chief Minister, Sh. Dushyant Chautala said that the farmers’ struggle went on for a long time because the benefits of the laws were not publicized well and due to this the farmers were not able to accept these new laws. He added that the Prime Minister himself admitted that there was a lack of understanding about the laws and for this he also apologized, which shows the nobility of Prime Minister, Sh. Narendra Modi.
He further added that Haryana is at the forefront of the country in ensuring MSP to the farmers. He said that 13 crops are procured at the prescribed MSP in Haryana. Under the Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana, the Haryana Government compensates for the loss of 17 horticulture crops. On the other hand, no other State has given additional money to the farmers regarding the millet crop, whereas in Haryana, the State Government gave money to the farmers under Bhavantar Bharpayee Yojana at the rate of Rs. 600 per quintal and the benefit thereof was transferred before selling of the crops.
