He said that 128832 khasra entries were made online in Jalandhar-1 Tehsil, followed by 108461 in Shahkot sub tehsil, 95607 in Jalandhar-II, 121562 in Phillaur, 64334 in Lohian, 117398 in Nakodar, 72618 in Kartarpur, 110158 in Bhogpur, 136734 in Nurmahal, 102455 in Adampur, 63696 in Mehatpur, and 105434 in Goraya besides other entries.

Throwing light on the initiative, the DC said that while taking a step further in the direction of digitization, the state government had ordered E-girdawari of crops. He also said that this year Patwaris are entering their E-Girdawari reports directly from the fields while making visits in their respective jurisdictions.

Mr. Thori said that as many as  12,27,289 E-Girdawaris have been entered successfully in Jalandhar district for Rabi season 2022 while directing the officials to accomplish the task by March 25, 2022.

“ Several officials were tasked with the responsibility of making E-girdawari online and hundred percent of records would be made online within a given time-frame,” said Deputy Commissioner Ghanshyam Thori. Notably, Girdawari is a process under which patwaris prepare records of crops based on Shijra Lathaa (a map drawn on a piece of cloth) after visiting the fields.

Pointing out further, DSM Rimpal Gupta said that the district has secured top position by making maximum entries while remaining entries to be made online by March 25, this.
