Workers working in the vegetable markets to now be called ‘Futkar Sabzi Vikreta’

Chandigarh, 17 March- Haryana Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, J.P. Dalal said that the workers working in the vegetable markets who are known as ‘masakhors’ will now be called ‘Futkar Sabzi Vikreta’ (Retail Vegetable Sellers) in the future.

The Agriculture Minister was replying to a question raised by an MLA in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha. He said that it has come to his notice that such workers in vegetable markets are called as ‘Masakhor’ which is not respectable. Therefore, they will now be identified by the name of ‘Futkar Sabzi Vikreta’ (Retail Vegetable Sellers). This will definitely help to solve this old problem being faced by street vendors.
