World Water Day: Gram Panchayats across Kargil attend webcast of PM’s speech
KARGIL, MARCH 22, 2021: Gram Panchayats across Kargil district attended the webcast of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide address on Jal Shakti Abhiyan with the theme of “Catch the rain, when and where it falls”.
After the webcast, Sarpanchs conducted Gram Sabhas on value and conservation of water. PRI members along with villagers conducted Safai Abhiyan of nearby water bodies highlighting the preciousness and sacredness of water bodies.
At the end, PRI members along with the villagers took the Jal Shapath- an oath to conserve water, acknowledge its value and spread the message on water conservation.
