YAD workers assigned duties to assist farmers and Arhtiyas in mandis

Youth Akali Dal President Parmbans Singh Romana today gave 48 hour ultimatum to Channi government to withdraw notices given to Arhtiyas or else YAD will gherao residence of Food and Supply Minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu.
Addressing a press conference here today, YAD President said that it was shocking to see that Channi government, which it claims to be a government of common man, is harassing farmers without any reason. He disclosed that Channi government has issued notices to Arhtiyas and threatened to stop paddy purchase.
Displaying such a notice issued to Arhtiyas of Amloh Mandi, Romana said that in these notice Arhtiyas have threatened that paddy purchased will be stopped and Centres will be closed if they continue to purchase paddy having 17 percent or more moisture. He said that farmers are indirect target of the Channi government and it was trying to stop paddy purchase of farmer who worked hard for six months to raise their crops. He declared that YAD was solidly standing with farmers, Arhtiyas and Millers. He said that we will force government to withdraw its arbitrary order.
Romana also disclosed that he has assigned duties to YAD District Presidents to ensure that their cadre stand like rock with farmers and Arhtiyas in Mandis so as to ensure that they do not face any problem. He said that these YAD workers will oppose any arbitrary or anti farmer and anti Arhtiya decision of the government.
