Chandigarh, October 6 – J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad will be holding its 3rd Convocation on October 8, 2021 to confer degrees on the students who have completed their degrees in the year 2021. The Convocation ceremony will be held at the Stakuntalam hall of the University.
Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya who is also the Chancellor of the University, will preside over the ceremony and distribute the degrees, medals and certificates to the students and scholars in the presence of Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dinesh Kumar. The Chairman, National Board of Accreditation, Professor K.K. Aggarwal will be the guest of honour and deliver the convocation address. During the convocation, the Governor will also release the Kulgeet of the University.
While giving information to this effect, Registrar, Dr. S.K. Garg said that this time, the University will continue with the traditional dress code during the convocation which was set by the University during the 2nd convocation in the year 2017. Instead of the black gowns, robes and square hats, the students and scholars will be wearing Indian attire like kurta-pyjamas and stole/patkas. As per the dress code, the male students have been asked to wear off-white or cream or beige colour kurta-pyjamas or pant-shirts. Similarly, female students will wear off-white or cream colour sarees with golden border or white suit with dupatta. The faculty and guests will also adhere to the similar dress code.
The Registrar informed that taking into the consideration the circumstances amid COVID pandemic and ongoing restrictions, the convocation ceremony is arranged only for the students who completed their degrees in the year 2021. However, the degree distribution ceremony for students of other batches of between the year 2017 and 2020 will be organized shortly as soon as pandemic subsides and circumstances resume to normal, he added.
