Ludhiana, January 6, 2024

Punjab Revenue Minister Mr Brahm Shankar Jimpa on Saturday said that the Bhagwant Singh Mann-led Punjab government was making earnest efforts to make the functioning of the revenue department smooth and easy for facilitating the people.

He assured the residents of providing transparent services related to the revenue department and that is why, today being a holiday, special camps related to pending mutation cases were organized across the state.

Expressing satisfaction over a special camp held at Bachat Bhawan Ludhiana to address the backlog of pending mutation cases, the Revenue minister said that the aim of the drive was to clear the backlog of mutations and serve the people.

On this occasion he was accompanied by MLAs Gurpreet Bassi Gogi and Daljit Singh Grewal, Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Surabhi Malik, SDM Dr. Harjinder Singh, besides several others.

Mr Brahm Shankar Jimpa said that reforms were being brought by the department to ensure hassle-free delivery of the services and minimize the inconvenience.

He categorically said that any negligence would not be tolerated and erring officers and employees would face action.

He said that the revenue department had already issued a helpline number 8184900002 for filing complaints regarding the functioning. The NRIs can also register their complaints on 9464100168.

The Revenue Minister said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann had recently launched ‘Bhagwant Mann Sarkar, Tuhade Dwaar’ scheme to provide doorstep delivery of 43 administrative services including certificates of birth and deaths, income, residence, caste, pensions, electricity bill payments and others. He said that the citizens could avail of the services by calling a helpline number 1076 and scheduling an appointment at their convenience.

He said that the Punjab government is fully committed to provide administrative services to the citizens in a smooth, seamless and transparent manner and more such camps will be organized across the state in the coming days as well.
