Applicants race to get franchisee of Har-Hith Store

Chandigarh, September 12  2021  Modern retail stores ‘Har-Hith’ will be opening in villages of Haryana on October 2, 2021.  This has been highly appreciated by the young entrepreneurs of the state.  As a result, in just 30 days of the launch that was on August 2, 1100 applications have been received for the franchisee of Har-Hith Stores, out of which 95 per cent applications have been found eligible under the franchisee policy.

Giving information in this regard Managing Director, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited, Sh. Rohit Yadav said that 80 percent of the site surveys of the eligible applicants have been made and after the store site survey, the sites which are ready for setting up of shops have been allotted.  Others have been asked to make some basic improvements to the site.  He said that from September 1, out of the sites which are ready to be set up for shops 300 sites have been allotted, while allotment process for the rest of the sites is underway. Along with this, 100 agreements have been made under the franchisee policy of the scheme. With this, the store’s fitout and interior work will be completed at the earliest by the vendor on behalf of Haryana-Agro within a week.

Sh. Yadav said that under the Har-Hith Retail Scheme of Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited (HAICL), Panchkula, the application process, site survey and onboarding agreement work is going on these days.  For this, district level Har-Hith Retail Franchisee onboarding agreement camps are being organized in Gurugram, Hisar and Pipli. Agreements are being made with franchisee partners in these camps that were started from September 9.  The purpose of these camps is to facilitate the franchisee partners living in remote areas of the state to get the agreement done in their own city.  These camps will now continue at the district level by Haryana-Agro Department.

He said that keeping in view the enthusiasm of young entrepreneurs towards Har-Hith Retail Store, Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Limited, will ensure to open Har-Hith Retail Stores in every village to provide high quality food items at reasonable prices.

2000 Har-Hith retail stores will be opened in the first phase and 3000 Har-Hith retail stores in the second phase. Along with consumers in the city, consumers of the villages too will get top FMCG products including bakery, food, homecare, personal care etc from 50 companies of top international, national and regional level at special discount of 5 to 50 percent from time to time.

He said that under this scheme, the Haryana government is providing a platform for startups as well as about a dozen Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), FPOs (Farmer Producer Organizations), Government Co-operative Institutions, Self Help Groups (SHGs) to increase their business.  High quality products of these groups including Khadi, Vita, Hafed will also be made available in Har-Hith stores.

Infrastructure support for store set-up

He said that Har-Hith has tied up with best sellers to provide infrastructure support at competitive industry rates.  Pre-fabricated shops are being set up at very reasonable rates in case of vacant land and interior fitout is being provided in case the franchisee partner has a readymade shop.

Logistic support and network facility

Sh. Yadav said that a network of Warehouse & District Centres has been created with the help of Logistic Partners across Haryana to run Har-Hith Stores systematically, with the help of which the stock ordered by the franchisee partner will be delivered to them within 24-48 hours for goods worth Rs. 10,000 at no extra cost in Har-Hith stores of all districts in Haryana. This logistic and network support will not only save the investment and time of the franchisee but will also add a new dimension to the business.

IT infrastructure

He said that Har-Hith stores are being equipped with complete IT support system to ensure smooth functioning. All sales will be done through point of sale system.  Complete IT solution will be provided to the Franchise Partner including Har-Hith POS Machine, ERP Software, Franchisee App, On-call Support Cell etc. Facility of scanning the goods, billing, online payment and stock ordering will be given through the POS machine.

Branding, advertising and digital marketing support

He said that HAICL will provide promotional material including leaflets, danglers, posters and shelf talkers etc. for advertisement of these stores.  HAICL will advertise from time to time in social media, newspapers etc. for brand, product and store promotion.

Sh. Yadav said that the application process for Har-Hith Retail Scheme is going on.  Along with this, store site survey of eligible candidates is being done in the first phase.  Store site survey is being done free of cost by the department. Apart from this, assistance will be provided in obtaining Pradhan Mantri Mudra loan under Har-Hith Retail Scheme.
