The Government procurement agencies have procured 23463.63 metric tonnes of paddy in Punjab on day one of procurement of this Kharif Season.

Disclosing this here today, Food and Civil Supplies Minister Punjab Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu said the Government procurement agencies procured total 23463.63 MT and 334 MT paddy procured by private Millers.
Mr. Ashu further said that 53516 MT paddy has been arrived mandis of state on day one of this season.
The Cabinet Minister also appealed to the farmers to bring the ripen and dry crop to mandis for smooth and hassle-free procurement.
