Online training course started on joint initiative of MDI Gurugram and HPTI Panchkula.

Online Training Programme will be conducted on joint initiative of HPTI, Panchkula and Management Development Institute Gurugram. While inaugurating the training campaign, Additional Chief Secretary, Haryana Power Department, Sh. PK Das said that production availability and supply is a challenge for power companies in a rapidly changing world.

He said that to keep supply regular, proper training in technology and financial management is the need of our time.  Therefore, this initiative is an important event in the context of Haryana.  He said that online certificate programme would be organized regularly for the engineers, officers of Finance and Accounts Department of all the companies of Haryana Power Utilities.  While addressing the people during the inauguration he said that the first batch will be initiated from October to December, 2021, the second batch from January to March, 2022 and the third batch from April to June, 2022.

He said that along with skill development of human resource among the participating officers, there would be creative promotion from the point of view of financial management.  He said that this training would pave the way for promotion of the development of the institute.  Sh. PK Das said that from July 2022, along with MDI, a training course for MBA will also be started.

In his welcome speech, the Dean of the institute, Dr. PC  Biswal said that on the advice of Sh. PK Das, many positive initiatives were started in various departments/institutions of Haryana, which yielded positive results.  In such a situation, the training programme conducted with a view to make the human resource of the Power Department modern and technologically efficient will make us efficient in this new era.  In the inaugural function, Director, MDI, Dr. Rajesh Chakraborty, said that this training will strengthen the work culture and leadership ability in the human resources and executives of the power companies in the time of Globalisation and competition.  Offering a vote of thanks, Managing Director, HVPNL, Sh. TL Satyaprakash said that the officers who perform better in the training would be nominated for the next training programme.  The inaugural programme was conducted by Professor Anil Mishra.  On this occasion, Managing Director, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam Sh. Shashank Anand, Director Finance, Sh. DP Tiwari, Director HPTI, Sh. Sanjeev Bansal along with engineers and other officers of the institute were present.
