Haryana Chief Minister to inaugurate 68 ‘Har-Hith Stores’ in the state on October 7

Haryana Agro Industries is all set to open as many as 68 Har-Hith stores which will be formally inaugurated by Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal on October 7, 2021. The inauguration of these stores would be done virtually in a single day from Chandigarh.

Sharing information in this regard, Chairman, Haryana Agro Industries and MLA, Badshahpur, Sh. Rakesh Daultabad said that on Thursday, October 7, Sh. Manohar Lal will inaugurate 68 Har-Hith stores in all the districts of the state from Chandigarh through online medium.

During the programme, Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister, Sh. J. P. Dalal will remain present at the Har-Hith store to be inaugurated in village Daultabad, district Gurugram. Seven such stores would be opened in Gurugram on October 7, 2021.

Divulging details about the Har-Hith stores to be opened across Haryana, Sh.  Daultabad said that eight such stores would be opened in Rewari district, six in Jind, five each in Bhiwani, Hisar and Kaithal district, four each in Rohtak and Yamunanagar, three each in Charkhi Dadri, Palwal, and Sonipat,  two each in  Panchkula, Mewat, Mahendragarh, Kurukshetra and Ambala, one each in Fatehabad, Faridabad, Karnal, Jhajjar, Panipat will be opened. As the Model Code of Conduct has come into force in Sirsa because of Bye-election, therefore stores in the district there will be opened later.

Sharing information about the concept of Har-Hith Store Scheme, Sh. Rakesh Daultabad said that Haryana Agro Industries Corporation Ltd is opening these stores in all the districts so that daily necessities items needed by the people of the village can be made available in the village. Besides this, the opening of these stores will also offer new employment opportunities for the people living in the rural areas.  Applications are being invited from the youth for the same, said Sh. Rakesh Daultabad.

He informed that the Chief Minister had launched the Har-Hith Retail Extension Project on August 2 this year.

Under the project, there is a plan to open about 2000  Har-Hith stores in all the 22 districts of the state, so that the youth of the state will not only get ample employment opportunities but will also inculcate the spirit of entrepreneurship.

Sh. Rakesh Daultabad said that there are plans to open 1500 such stores in rural areas and 500 in urban areas.

He said that the consumers will get groceries of daily necessity at every Har-Hith store, which will include products of government cooperative institutions or organizations like – NAFED, HAFED, VITA etc., FPOs, National Brands, FMCG companies and MSME units.  These stores are being allotted to residents of Haryana only.  For this, arrangements have been made for master warehouses in Gurugram, Karnal and Hisar.
