Our immune cells have the ability of producing Vitamin D in our body which aids to numerous immune-related processes such as strengthening the immune system, lessening autoimmune ailments and decreasing chances of infections.

But, the treatment of cancer related ailments is not affordable by many sections of society, so we have to take good care of our health ourselves to prevent these severe diseases.

Laboratory and animal studies have described that vitamin D can block the formation of cancer cells and decrease the progression of tumors through its anti-inflammatory effects.

To date, there are randomized controlled trials demonstrating the direct anti-cancer effect of vitamin D. Many studies have presented that a balanced diet rich in vitamin D and a healthy weight lead to a reduction in the onset and progression of cancer.

Experts have explained the link between cancer and vitamin D deficiency. “Breast and colon cancers have been shown to be associated with vitamin D deficiency in numerous studies. However, vitamin D alone has not been shown to prevent or treat cancer. When asked if Vitamin D deficiency causes cancer, they said, “No, but more than 70% of cancer patients have problems with vitamin D deficiency. This is another positive factor, indicating that vitamin D has many beneficial effects on the body, either directly or indirectly, they said further.
