SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 13. A series of webinars, held by the Directorate of Industries and Commerce to connect to entrepreneurs and ensure better coordination among the unit holders and District Industries Centers, concluded today. The event, which concerned all the 10 districts, focused on educating the unit holders about various industrial schemes, importance of GEM registration, UDYAM and TREADS registration.
The problems faced by the unit holders located both within and outside the organized sectors were also considered during the discussion. Most of the issues were resolved at that time while other demands cast out by the unit holders were incorporated in current years plan. The unit holders repeatedly raised concerns about the erratic power supply to the industrial estates which has been taken up with the Chief Engineer, Power Department.
The representatives of SIDCO and SICOP were focusing to expedite the works with regard to maintenance and upkeep of Industrial Estates. Meanwhile, a separate calendar has been chalked out to expedite registration of unit holders on UDYAM and GEM platform where special camps will be arranged in all the estates to provide handholding to the unit holders. The General Managers have been asked to follow up of the decisions taken in the webinars.
