ADC reviews status of Aadhaar registration, updation under various departments in Kargil
KARGIL, NOV 11:
Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-Ud-Din Wani today chaired a review meeting regarding status of Aadhaar registration and updation under various concerned departments in the district.
Joint Director Information/Program Officer ICDS, Imteeaz Kacho, Chief Medical Officer, Dr Munawar Hussain Wazir, Chief Education Officer, Mushtaq Ahmed, representatives of J&K Bank, UIDI and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Threadbare discussions were followed regarding various aspects related to the registration process carried out by the concerned departments.
Pertaining to ICDS Department, it was informed that 18 operators are designated for the job in various centres across the district. Meanwhile, 1690 beneficiaries under the age group of 0-5 years have been enrolled while the remaining will be enrolled soon.
Regarding, Education Department, the ADC was informed that 11 mobile camps and one permanent camp have been established for registration of students studying in private and government schools in the district.
The ADC was also informed that 22 candidates will appear in the upcoming examination of operator and 12 operators will be selected out of it.
Moreover, it was informed that ICDS centres and Hospitals will be provided tablets for Aadhaar registration adding that first preference will be given to District Hospital followed by all Community Health Centres across the district.
The ADC also directed to repair the machines at assigned branches of J&K Bank within a week. He further directed to speed up the process of registration and ensure 100 percent registration across all concerned departments within the stipulated timeline.
