CM requested for Centre Government funding for Bhanupali Bilaspur Leh railway line
NEW DELHI, NOVEMBER 8
Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur called Union Railways Minister Piyush Goel at New Delhi. Chief Minister requested the Union Minister for hundred percent centre government funding for the important Bhanupali Bilaspur Leh railway line. He mentioned that state has limited funds and requested for complete funding by Centre as the railway line is needed and important for state as well as country.
Chief Minister also asked for expansion of rail network in the state and identifying new routes for railway lines. He informed that so far roads are the major mode of connectivity in the state however state government is working hard to strengthen air connectivity also. He said that expansion of rail network is a long pending demand of the state and with the construction of Bhanupali Bilaspur Leh railway line connectivity will be help the state.
Jai Ram Thakur also requested for support from centre for setting up of Bulk Drug Pharma Park in Una district. He said that Himachal Pradesh is already a leader in drug production and is a pharmaceutical hub of the country and informed that this project would be another feather in the cap of the state and would generate employment opportunities thereby boosting the industrial sector.
Rajneesh, Resident Commissioner, Dr. R.N. Batta Principal Private Secretary to Chief Minister were also present in the meeting.
