Cabinet meeting conducted by CM Shri Chouhan

A meeting of the Council of Ministers was done in Mantralaya under the chairmanship of CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In a meeting, while taking a policy decision for the restoration of water storage capacity of the reservoirs of the state, the tender process, base price, criteria of tender eligibility and other conditions were approved. After the amendment of the policy, Madhya Pradesh will be the first state in the country in which tender will be done to remove silt from four reservoirs in the first phase. With this 5 lakh hectare irrigation potential will be restored. The productivity of the land will increase. The life span of dams will increase. Sand can be utilised. Local people will get employment and revenue of about Rs.300 crore will be generated.
