Delivery of government services at the doorsteps of the citizen would be main agenda : Amit Talwar

Mr. Amit Talwar the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of the district today took charge at the District Administrative Complex SAS Nagar. On arrival, a guard of honor was given to him by the Punjab Police contingent.Taking over the charge, he held a meeting with the senior officers and got information about the situation in the district.

On the occasion Mr. Amit Talwar said that as per the directives given by the Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann it would be our utmost duty to provide accountable and responsible administration to the people of the district. He said that it would also be our duty to provide benefits of the government services to the people at their doorsteps so that the people do not have to go to the government offices unnecessarily. He said that no compromise would be made against corruption and the problems of the people would be solved in a transparent and timebound manner .
Mr. Amit Talwar is a 2013 batch I.A.S officer. Prior to this he has also served as SDM in District SAS Nagar during the period 2010-12. Apart from being Director Transport in Chandigarh Administration, Mr. Talwar has also served as the HoD of Water Supply and Sanitation Department in the Punjab Government.
