District Barnala has administered 420927 doses of covid vaccine till now of which 100067 people have been fully vaccinated (given both doses) and 320860 people have been given first dose. In order to administer second dose of 320860 people, two days special vaccination camps are being held on Oct 30 and Oct 31.

Deputy Commissioner Barnala Mr Kumar Saurabh Raj said while talking to media persons today.
He added that the projected population of Barnala district above 18 years of age eligible for vaccination include almost 4.50 lacs people. 27907 of these people have completed 85 days of first dose of vaccine and are now being called upon to get the second dose.
He added that in order to facilitate second dosage vaccination, camps are being held at Civil Hospital Barnala, Govt Hospital Tapa, CHC Dhanaula, CHC Mehal Kalan, CHC Bhadaur and CHC Chananwal. All those coming for the second dose should be carrying their Aadhar card and should have been given first dose 85 days ago.
Giving further details, the Deputy Commissioner added that Covid vaccination of government employees /staff on duty at Vidhan Sabha elections at the camp site will be done on priority basis.
District Immunization Officer Dr Rajinder Singla and assistant Commissioner (General) Mr Devdarsh were also present.
