More often than not, body pain is associated to our mental and emotional state. Western medicine has taught us to just pop a pill to make the pain go away but if we were to understand the connection, we will also understand how to treat it at the same time. Here is a list of 9 types of pain that you might experience which is linked to your mental and emotional state:
Pain in your head
Typically, pain in your head directly links to stress. Your head may be hurting all around or only in sections. Take some time off to relax and unwind. Do some light stretching and meditation to keep the stress and pain at bay
Pain in your neck
Pain in your neck general indicates that you are having trouble forgiving people or even yourself. This can be quite difficult to do for some of us but it is the best way to get rid of that constant neck pain. Take some time to think about what you love about others and make an attempt to forgive them.
Pain in your shoulder
If you are having pain in your shoulders, you are probably ‘shouldering a burden’. This means that you are having a big problem that s eating away at your mind and is becoming heavier by the day for you to carry. Be proactive, find someone to share this burden with or find a solution to get rid of it before it harms you further.
Pain in your upper back
Pain in your upper back might signify that you are feeling unloved or unwanted. It is a very natural instinct to feel so and pain in the upper back is your body telling you to go out on a date or two!
Pain in your lower back
This generally means that you are worried about your finances. It might be time to sit and revaluate your financial situation with your partner or ask for that raise that you deserve
Pain in elbow
The relation is that if your elbows are stiff, you most likely have a stiff life as well. This shows a resistance to change and stagnancy. Make few compromises and stir things up a little in your life.
Pain in your hands
If your hands are hurting it probably means that you are not reaching out to others like you should. Reach out to family, friends or even co- workers and get rid of the pain.
Pain in your hips
Pain in your hips can indicate your aversion to moving around. Sore hips can mean that you scared of moving and change it will do you some good to break out of this lifestyle.
Pain in knees
Ego is generally behind pain in the knees. Go out and do something for someone other than yourself. You are only human, not a god. Stay humble.
