Bone Cancer: Initial signs of bone cancer

After lung cancer, the most prevalent type of cancer is bone cancer. Almost 70 percent of the population gets affected due to various reasons.

Several factors can affect bone health.

The amount of calcium in your diet: Lack of calcium in the body leads to decreased bone density, early bone loss, and a higher risk of fractures.

Physically active: Inactive people are at greater risk of developing osteoporosis disease than people who are active at counterparts.

Tobacco and alcohol use: Research recommends that excessive use of tobacco results in weak bones. Also, having more than one alcoholic drink daily day for women or two alcoholic drinks a day for men may raise the risk of osteoporosis.

Hormone levels: High levels of thyroid hormone can lead to bone loss. In women, bone loss increases dramatically at menopause due to declining estrogen levels. The long absence of menstruation before menopause also heightens the risk of osteoporosis. In parallel men face the loss of bone mass due to low testosterone levels.

Eating habits: Unnecessary diets lead to low nutrient intake leading to underweight which further weakens bone in both men and women. In addition, weight-loss surgery and conditions such as celiac disease can affect your body’s ability to absorb calcium.

A sign that tells you that you may develop bone cancer:

  1. Unable to move: Lack of movement in the bone can be a cause of concern.
  2. Fever: Continous ups and don in a fever or chills should be checked.
  3. Lump: Sensation of lump in the bone can hint about Bone cancer
  4. Sweating: If you get sweating during night especially then you must get check-up.
  5. Weak Bones: If you get easily fracture then it can be a hint towards bone cancer
