Governor lauds State Government for efficiently tackling COVID-19 Pandemic

Chandigarh, March 2 : Haryana Governor, Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya while lauding the State Government’s efforts made for ensuring equitable development of every region and every section by rising above regionalism and nepotism, said that today a strong wind of change can be felt from Panchkula to Palwal and from Sirsa to Faridabad, which clearly indicates that Haryana is rapidly moving ahead to achieve the set goals and objectives of development.

Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya was delivering his address on the first day of Budget Session of the 14th Haryana Vidhan Sabha which commenced here today.

The Governor said that during this period  the entire Country and the State is celebrating ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75 years of Independence, therefore it becomes our moral duty to remember all those great freedom fighters whose supreme sacrifices gave us an opportunity to celebrate this festival of Independence.

“I bow down to those known and unknown martyrs who had sacrificed everything for the freedom struggle,” he added.

The Governor said that to immortalize and honour the bravery of those unsung heroes who had played a pivotal role during the First War of Independence, an international level ‘Shahid Smarak’ (Martyrs memorial) is being constructed by the State  Government in Ambala.

Furthermore, to commemorate Amrit Mahotsav, the Central Government has also organized countrywide 400th Prakash Purab celebrations of the ninth Sikh Guru, Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji. Besides this, a historic decision has been taken to observe December 26 as ‘Veer Baal Diwas’ to mark the martyrdom of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh Ji and Sahibzada Fateh Singh Ji, said the Governor.

“Similarly, taking yet another first-of-its-kind initiative, the Government has announced to commemorate the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose as ‘Parakram Diwas’. We are also proud of the participation of  numerous Haryanvis in Netaji’s Azad Hind Fauj,” added Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya.

The Governor said that several unprecedented decisions have been taken by the Central Government that has increased the pride and prestige of India across the Globe. The faith of crore of countrymen has been strengthened with the commencement of the construction work of the temple of Lord Shri Ram ji in Ayodhya.

With the resolve of ‘Public Service through Good Governance’, holistic development of Haryana is being ensured

Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya said that with the resolve of ‘Public Service through Good Governance’, holistic development of Haryana is being ensured by the State Government while upholding the spirit of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya’s Antyodaya philosophy along with working on the guiding principles of ‘Sabka Saath- Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas- Sabka Prayas’ and ‘Haryana Ek-Haryanvi Ek’.

“Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar has said that ‘An Ideal Society is based on Liberty, Equality and Fraternity’, following this principle of his, the State Government has ensured equitable development of every region and every section by rising above the considerations of caste, regionalism and nepotism. Today this strong wind of change can be felt from Panchkula to Palwal and from Sirsa to Faridabad. In the NITI Aayog SDG India Index 2020-21, Haryana is among the leading states of the Country,” added Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya.

While lauding the efforts of State Government for efficiently tackling COVID-19 Pandemic, Governor said that in all the three waves of COVID-19,  adequate arrangements  have been made for containment, providing relief and ensuring treatment during this Pandemic.

“As you all know, we are battling the COVID-19 Pandemic since the year 2020. This global Pandemic has affected everyone in one way or another. Concerted effort made by the State Government and its entire machinery, especially the Doctors and Health Workers and other Frontline COVID Warriors, We have been able to control this Pandemic. I appreciate the patience, courage and faith reposed by the people in the State Government during this Pandemic,” asserted Sh. Bandaru Dattatraya.
