Chief Minister launches portal for granting advertisement permission and e-auction of municipal advertisement sites

The portal will bring transparency and ease in the allotment of advertisement rights across all municipalities in the State, Manohar Lal

 

Chandigarh, October 11 :- Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has given yet another facility to the citizens and businesses of the State by launching the portal for granting advertisement permission and e-auction of municipal advertisement sites under the Haryana Municipal Advertisement Bye-Laws 2022.

“The portal will bring transparency and ease in the allotment of advertisement rights across all municipalities in the State. All municipal bodies will get a 3.2 per cent share of the collector rate. E-auction of government sites will be done and the minimum rate of this will be 4 percent, out of which 40 percent will be given to the MC and 60 percent to the building owner,” said Sh. Manohar Lal while inaugurating the newly renovated media centre at Haryana Civil Secretariat, Chandigarh.

During this, Transport Minister, Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal and Urban Local Bodies Minister, Dr. Kamal Gupta also remained present.

All municipalities, Government Departments, Boards, Corporations and Authorities in the State can now enlist their properties on the portal for e-auction of the advertisement rights. The private property owners can also opt for enlisting their property(s) on this portal for granting advertisement right through E-auction. The role of municipalities will be to process the applications on the portal and schedule to enlisting of property(s), filling reserve price and date of auction only. Thereafter the portal at its own conducts the auction and selects the highest bidder. Further, all advertisement permissions and contracts, payments, and securities shall be managed online through this portal. This shall ensure strong revenue streams and transparency in contract management.

The advertising entities (business or individual) once registered on the portal can participate in the E-auction of all enlisted advertisement properties across the municipalities in the State. This portal will not only increase transparency in granting advertisement rights but also increase the revenue of municipalities and other government entities through advertisement by tapping its true potential.

Arun Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Sh. , Anurag Agarwal, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages, Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal, Additional Director (Admn) Smt. Varsha Khangwal, Joint Director (Admn), Sh. Aman Kumar also remained present.
