Chief Minister sanctions Rs. one lakh for treatment of Prince Chaudhary

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has sanctioned Rs. one lakh from Chief Minister Relief Fund to the parents of Prince Chaudhary, ten years old child hailing from Malku Majra in Baddi area of Solan district who is suffering from serious bone ailment and is under treatment at PGI Chandigarh.
News describing the condition of the child and his parents has appeared in a vernacular daily recently.
Chief Minister said that State Government was committed to provide assistance to the poor and needy to ensure that no one was deprived of getting proper treatment for want of funds. He said that State Government was ensuring that needy were provided required assistance from the Chief Minister Relief Fund. He also urged the people to contribute generously towards the Chief Minister Relief Fund so that needy could be provided help at the time of distress.
Chairman 6th H.P. State Finance Commission Satpal Singh Satti has also a written letter to the Chief Minister apprising him about the condition of the child and his parents. He has apprised the Chief Minister that the annual expenditure of treatment of this disease is around Rs. 2 lakh and the financial condition of the parents of the child was not good and his father Gurmail Singh has already sold his land and jewellery for treatment of his son.
