CM Shri Chouhan pays tribute to Balasaheb Devras on his birth anniversary

Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan paid homage to Shri Balasaheb Deoras on his birth anniversary. Shri Chouhan garlanded his portrait in the auditorium at his residence office. Tweeting on the birth anniversary of revered Madhukar Dattatreya Deoras, one who was dedicated to the service and upliftment of the nation, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that – “The strong thoughts of a great man who selflessly served the country and humanity, will continue to inspire the coming generations to work for upliftment of the nation and public welfare.”

Shri Balasaheb Deoras was the third Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh. Shri Deoras was born on December 11, 1915 in Nagpur. His family belonged to Karanja, a village near Aam gaanv in Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh. His entire education took place in Nagpur itself. He assumed the responsibility of Sarsanghchalak on 6 June 1973 after the death of Shri Guru Ji. Sangh work got a new direction during his tenure. He laid emphasis on service. Consequently, thousands of works of service were started in the Vanvasi region of the country including North Purvanchal. He died on 17 June, 1996 in Nagpur.
