CM Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan planted a sapling of ritha in the Chief Minister’s residence premises. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan plants a sapling every day. Aritha tree is found almost everywhere in the country. Its leaves are bigger than leaves of gular tree, the bark is brown and the fruits are in clusters. By soaking and churning its fruits in water, foam is made and it can be used to wash all kinds of clothes like cotton, wool and silk as well as hair. According to Ayurveda, its fruit is tridoshnashak, hot, heavy, abortive, and antiemetic and it sedates the uterus and destroys the effects of many poisons.
