CM visited Tutikandi Balika Ashram

SHIMLA, NOVEMBER 13

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur with his wife Dr. Sadhna Thakur visited Balika Ashram, Tutikandi, Shimla and gave sweets and fire crackers to children of the Ashram on the occasion of Diwali.

Wishing them a very happy Diwali, Chief Minister said that this year Diwali is being celebrated in changed circumstances of Covid 19 pandemic. So the celebrations should also be done in different way without creating any type of pollution.

The Children of the Ashram also presented the candles made by them to the Chief Minister. Jai Ram Thakur appreciated the efforts of the children in making the candles and said that the children of the Ashram have understood the clarion call of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to be ‘Vocal for the Local’.

He informed that the Corona cases were increasing in the State and the Country and  Also the vaccine for virus is still not available and said that “Jab Tak Dawai Nahi, Tab Tak Dhilai Nahi”. He also requested all to wear masks, keep social distancing and to avoid social gathering.

Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Additional Deputy Commissioner Shimla Apoorv Devgan, Child Development Project Officer Mamta Paul, Superintendent of Ashram Narbada Sharma were also present on the occasion.
