KUPWARA, MAY 31: Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Imam Din today presided over a day long Covid Training programme of Medical officers at ANMT School, here. The training was organized by District Health Society Kupwara under the title “Covid-19 Management and Possible 3rd Wave”. Chief Medical Officer Kupwara, Abdul Gani Dar was also present at the occasion.
On the occasion, it was informed that the training is aimed to prepare the Medical Officers as Master Trainees who will further deliver the training to the field functionaries including ANM, ASHAs and other medical staff so that they perform their duty in a professional manner during this Coivd pandemic.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the training programme will enable the field staff to deal with the Covid situation at Panchayat level in a proper way.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed the people to come forward and vaccinate themselves at their nearest Coivd Vaccination Centre to keep the Covid-19 pandemic at bay. He also appealed the people not to pay heed to the rumour about the vaccine being spread on social media which is false and baseless.
Meanwhile, leaflets about Coivd Management were distributed among the participants.
The training programme was attended by a team of experts from Directorate of Health Services Kashmir; Medical officers and other concerned.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner flagged off a Coivd Awaress rally, here at TRC Kupwara which was conducted by a Kupwara based NGO Kafila Foundation. The rally was aimed to spread awareness about the Covid management and adherence to appropriate behavior among the masses. The rally saw participation of students, Ex-servicemen, volunteers of SDRF and other concerned.
