In furtherance to the   public outreach program for effective grievances redressal, Deputy Commissioner Doda today met scores of public deputations and individuals here at Dak Bungalow Bhadarwah and listened to their issues and demands.
The deputations from all walks of life and stakeholders projected their genuine demands before the administration.BDC Chairperson Bhaderwah, Omi Chand and DDC Member Bhaderwah Thakur Yudhvir also participated in the camp.
The DDC was accompanied by ADC Bhaderwah, CEO BDA, PO ICDS Doda, GM Industries, SE PWD, PMGSY, JPDCL and other District and sectoral Officers.
The deputations which met with DDC and projected/ highlighted their demands included Fruit Growers, MC Bhaderwah President and Councillors, PRI members of Chinta, Hanga. Chobia, Bhalra, Atkhar, Mathola, Drudoo, Udrana, Sartingal,  Puneja, Sungli, Musrata, Kursari and Bheja, Bar Association and Bhaderwah Youth Action Committee During the course of the marathon interactive session, threadbare discussions were held on the issues of public importance and the concerned officers were given on the spot directions to  redress  the public grievances and submit an action taken report to his office in one week.
Responding to the issue of vacancy of SMS doctor in the area, the DDC directed the Chief Horticulture Officer to take the matter up with higher authorities for early filling of the post . He instructed to utilise the services of existing staff up to optimum level in the  interest of fruit growers of the district. On shortage of teaching staff, the DDC constituted a Committee headed by ADDC Doda and CEO Doda as member secretary to work on rationalisation of teaching staff in the government schools.
On non operationalization of Sartingal Power house, DDC asked ADC Bhaderwah, JPDCL and other agencies to submit a report on the existing position of the Installation.
The DDC also asked ITI to introduce courses on tourism, Forest and other demanding activities.
He further directed the concerned to plan for the restart of Bhaderwah festival this year. Blacktopping of Jai-Gandoh road and early forest clearance of Kahara Jai Road was also stressed upon. The DDC also assured to take  up the demand for opening of Army goodwill school with GoC for Army for which land was long ago acquired .
A deputation of youth demanded strict action against drug dealers/ paddlers. They also demanded for creation of sports infrastructure in the Bhaderwah area to engage the youth in healthy activities. The DDC ensured that strict action under law would be taken against drug peddlers and necessary steps shall be taken to upgrade the sports infrastructure in the area.
On the non availability of a radiologist at SDH Bhaderwah, the DDC assured to take up the matter with concerned authorities. He suggested sending a local doctor to GMC Doda for short term training in radiology till the regular posting was made.
The ADC Bhadarwah was asked to monitor the attendance of doctors and ensure their presence from 10am to 4:30 pm for patient care.On the issue of establishment of the Library at Bhaderwah, it was informed that a temporary library is functional at Old Hospital Bhaderwah, while land has been identified for construction of library building. The DDC asked the District Librarian to expedite the process of documentation for early start of work on the building.
On the repair of the link road to the university campus, the PWD department informed that the proposal has been kept for the current financial year.The DDC directed the labour department to organise Labour Camp at Bhaderwah on 1st Monday of every month in future.
Further, the AD Food civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Doda was directed to report to ADC Bhaderwah on the issues raised by the public in the camp.
Regarding the issue of shortage of water, completion of Seri Bazar Park, requirement of regular market checking during holy month of Ramadan, shortage of staff in health and other offices etc, the DDC directed concerned district officers to resolve the issues promptly and provide efficient, timely, quality and transparent service to the public which is the main objective of the UT administration.
On traffic congestion in the town, flaws in Bhaderwah Development master plan, sitting of town planner at Udhampur and other like issues, the DDC asked ADC Bhaderwah to identify the  sites which can be developed as Parking space in the town and ensure traffic regulation in the town to avoid the traffic congestion in the town. The CEO BDA was further asked to coordinate with the town planner  and initiate the revision of Master Plan afresh as per the requirements of the area.
Meanwhile, the DDC also visited District Jail Bhaderwah along with Chairman and members of Under Trial Review Committee (UTRC) and SSP Doda. During the visit, the Committee took stock of basic facilities available to the prisoners, including clean drinking water, food, medical care, sanitation, proper clothing and bedding hygiene in kitchen, toilets and barracks etc.
