Calls on DDC Chairperson and Deputy Commissioner
RAMBAN, JUNE 02, 2021: Director, Department of Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Jammu Dr. Naseem Javaid Choudhary, today inspected stock of food grains available in Food Stores at Batote and Ramban.
He was accompanied by Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Dr. Nasir Ahmed Butt, Tehsil Supply Officers and other officials of FCS&CA.
While inspecting the stocks, he expressed satisfaction with the quality of food grains supplied by the department and laid emphasis on proper maintenance of records and early lifting and distribution of food grains to the beneficiaries. He also issued on the spot direction for submission of detailed project-report for repair and renovation of food stores along with their geo-tagged photos.
Later, the Director chaired a review meeting with the officials of the department in the Conference Hall of District Administrative Complex Ramban.
During the review meeting string of instructions were given to Assistant Director FCS&CA, Ramban regarding timely distribution of food grains, verification of ration cards, seeding of aadhar with ration cards at beneficiary level, submission of beneficiaries of K oil, Panchayat wise number of ration cards and beneficiaries, redress of grievances of the public, among others. He laid top most priority on the issue of aadhar seeding with ration cards at beneficiary level and set June 15 as deadline for 100% Aadhar seeding. He also gave directions to officials for submission of pending APRs within three days so that DPC may be convened at an earliest.
Meanwhile, the Director, FCS&CA also called on District Development Council Chairperson Ramban Dr. Shamshada Shan and Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mussarat Islam. He requested DDC Chairperson Ramban to inform people about seeding of Aadhar with ration cards of left out beneficiaries and also assured her that all Tehsil Supply Officers of District Ramban will hold aadhar seeding camps in different Panchayats.
This whole exercise will be done under overall supervision of Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Ramban Dr. Nasir Ahmed Butt.
Later, during a meeting with Deputy Commissioner Ramban, he requested him for early completion of e-tendering process for door step delivery of food grains in District Ramban and allotment of more space/accommodation for the office of Assistant Director, FCS&CA Ramban.
