Pays floral tributes to Lord Vishwakarma ji

Vowing to restore the pristine glory of Punjab, the Chief Minister Mr Charanjit Singh Channi today said that state will be soon transformed into ‘Golden Sparrow of India’.
Addressing the gathering here today at 111th Sri Vishwakarma Pooja Utsav the Chief Minister said that concerted efforts will be made for the holistic development of the state on one hand and prosperity of its people on the other. Evoking Lord Vishwakarma ji, the divine architect of the entire universe, he said that with the blessings of Lord a mechanism is being evolved to put the state on trajectory of high economic growth. CM Channi said that no stone is being left unturned for comprehensive development of the state.
Terming his government as the Government of common man, for the common man and by the common man, the Chief Minister said that from day one his major thrust is only ensuring transparent, responsive and citizen centric administration. He said several path breaking initiatives including cheap power, Basera scheme, ownership rights to people living within Lal Lakeer and others have been already initiated by his government. CM Channi said that not only this but several other decisions will be taken in the coming days.
The Chief Minister said that gone are the days when common man, peasant, farmers, employees and others have to look towards the government for their problems. He said that one amongst them is the Chief Minister of state adding that he is duty bound to serve the state in right earnest. CM Channi further said top priority is being accorded for ensuring all-round progress of the state.

Greeting all the Punjabis living across the globe on the auspicious occasion of parkash divas of Lord Vishwakarma, celebrated as Vishwakarma day in the entire world, the Chief Minister said that Lord Vishwakarma ji is believed to be the master of all machinery and equipments being used by the people in all the industrial activities. He said that since ages this great Deity of all craftsmen and architects has inspired our artisans, workers and labour class to work hard for the development of the nation besides inculcating a feeling of dignity of labour and a sense of pride in them. Exhorting the workers and craftsmen to make concerted efforts for strengthening the infrastructure of the state and the Nation, CM Channi said that it will be a real and befitting tribute to Lord Vishwakarma.
Paying rich tributes to the Lord Vishwakarma, the Chief Minister felicitated the technocrats and labourers of the state and said that Lord Vishwakarma ji was the founder of the Engineering, Architecture and technology on the earth. He said that the industrial and infrastructure growth across the globe that we observe today was only due to the blessings of Lord Vishwakarma, who had created mechanical skills.
CM Channi said that the technological skills coupled with day-to-day advancements had facilitated mankind to grow swiftly. The Chief Minister appealed the people especially the youth to improve their professional skills and enhance their abilities for availing optimal job opportunities.
On the occasion the Chief Minister announced a grant of RS 2 crore for the Lord Vishwakarma temple adding that a hi tech ambulance will be provided to charitable hospital being run by organisation.
Earlier, the Chief Minister paid obeisance at Lord Vishwakarma Temple where he was given robe of honour (siropa) by the management. He also visited the charitable hospital being run by the organisation.

Meanwhile, President of Sri Vishwakarma Dhiman Sabha Mr Balwant Rai Dhiman, Mr Surinder Pal Dhiman, Mr Gurnam Singh, Mr Pradeep Dhiman, Mr Inderjit Singh Matharu, Mr Prashant Dhiman and others felicitated the Chief Minister.
