Chief Minister chairs the monthly meeting of the Grievances Committee, gives on-the-spot redressal of the 14 grievances out of the total 17 tabled before him
Chandigarh October 15 :- The residents of Green Field Colony, Faridabad who have been wandering to get the basic amenities since 1976, today got Deepawali gift in advance from the Chief Minister as he announced that from now onwards the Municipal Corporation will take care of all the development works of this colony.
Sh. Manohar Lal while presiding over the monthly meeting of the Grievances Committee held in Faridabad today said that now the Faridabad MC will ensure all the basic facilities like road, water and electricity in this colony. For this, the MC will ensure all the development works after the completion of the transfer process at the earliest.
Sh. Manohar Lal said that before the year 1976, this colony was established with 3713 plots on 434 acres of land. Due to some reasons, this colony could not be transferred to the Municipal Corporation till date because of this the residents remained deprived of even basic civic facilities.
In today’s monthly Grievances Committee meeting, the members of RWA of Green Field Colony again tabled this issue before the Chief Minister. After which immediate directions were issued that the MC should immediately ensure all the development works including the construction of roads and proper sewerage after the completion of the transfer process at the earliest. While the house tax of the colony will be kept separately, said Sh. Manohar Lal.
In the meeting, a total of 17 complaints were tabled before the Chief Minister, out of which 14 complaints were settled on the spot while three complaints are pending.
Similarly while issuing directions on a complaint of a woman regarding damage being done to her house because of the construction being done by the owner living above her flat, the Chief Minister said the concerned owner should also be asked to pay compensation if any damage is caused.
Amit Kumar, a resident of Tigaon village also raised a complaint regarding the house they have been allotted under the Haryana Government Affordable Housing Policy. Responding to this the Chief Minister said that a platform has been made available to the citizens for such complaints, so all such complaints should be transferred to HARERA courts.
Meanwhile responding to another grievance raised by RP Sharma for issuing fire NOCs to various government buildings, Sh. Manohar Lal said that a list of 15 buildings had been submitted by the complainant, out of which seven have been forwarded to the fire department for the issuance of NOC.
The Chief Minister directed that applications for fire NOC of government buildings should also be made at the earliest.
Sundar Singh, a resident of Kurali village, raised a grievance against the post office employees that the money deposited by him had been embezzled. This, Chief Minister immediately transferred this complaint to Vigilance and said that the strictest action should be taken against the culprits after a thorough investigation.
Another complaint, Ajay Kumar complained that after the death of his father, he has been making rounds of the bank for the last 3 years to get the amount deposited in his father’s bank account. Responding to this, the Chief Minister said that the police will investigate the matter thoroughly and take the strictest action against the culprits.

Nayan Pal Rawat, MLA, Sh. Rajesh Nagar, MLA, Sh. Neeraj Sharma and other dignitaries and officers also remained present on this occasion.
