– Calling 1930 can ensure reversing any amount lost through online financial fraud. After receiving such complaints at 1930, Haryana’s Cyber Police Station, Rohtak blocked Rs 23.50 lakh from being transferred to the accounts of cyber criminals in September this year.
Sharing the information here today, a Haryana Police spokesperson informed that cases of cyber fraud are increasing rapidly. Police are alerting citizens about incidents related to cyber crime by observing October 2022 as Cyber Security Awareness Month. Citizens can avoid cyber frauds by making themselves aware of cyber crime. However, a well-equipped and trained team of state cyber crime is working to save the hard-earned money of the citizens.
He said that cyber criminals are defrauding citizens by breaching the app and banking system. In this way, to protect citizens from fraud, the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has developed a portal, with cyber helpline number 1930. On which citizens can submit their complaints related to cybercrime.
As soon as the person who is a victim of online fraud gives a complaint on the helpline number. Based on the information about the fraud, the account in which the money has to reach, that account will be freezed/blocked by the cyber crime unit. The account holder in which victim’s money has gone will not be able to withdraw it. Also, the entire money withdrawn from victim’s account will be returned back.
Complaints related to cybercrime can also be given on dial-112. If for some reason the number 1930 is not available, then the victim can also register a complaint on 112. Both numbers work round-the-clock. Citizens should register a complaint by dialing 1930 or 112 as soon as possible immediately after the cyber fraud. Every day since the beginning of the month of October, Haryana Police is making people aware by giving information about cyber crimes. In this series, awareness drive about prevention of cyber crime is being carried out in schools, colleges, universities, bus stands, gram panchayats and other public places, he added.

Chandigarh, October 10– Haryana Chief Secretary, Sh. Sanjeev Kaushal today informed the Chairperson, Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM), Dr. M. M. Kutty that Haryana is keeping strict vigil on the identified zones which are more prone to stubble burning.
The Chief Secretary said that to control stubble burning, the State Government is implementing a framework which includes In-situ/Crop Residue Management, Ex-situ Crop Residue Management, Effective monitoring/enforcement, Information Education and Communication (IEC) activities.
The Chief Secretary assured the Chairman that the State Government is committed to ensure the maintenance of air quality by strictly following the action plan given by the Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM).
He added that a special team of officers has been deployed who keeps strict vigil in the hotspots areas. Along with it real time information of stubble burning cases are being reported to the concerned deputy commissioners for taking immediate action. Sh. Kaushal further stated that through the effective strategy implemented by the district administration, Haryana is accelerating towards reducing the effect of stubble burning by 50 percent and more. He informed that despite the rain, farmers have harvested the paddy and mandi has received 3 times more quantity of paddy in comparison to the previous year on the same day.
Chairperson of, Commission for Air Quality Management, Dr. M. M. Kutty was presiding over a meeting with the Chief Secretary along with all the Deputy Commissioners through Video Conferencing. The Chairperson asked the Deputy Commissioners to work hard to ensure the air quality management in Haryana. Extensive discussion took place regarding concrete steps to be taken in order to reduce the effect of stubble burning in Haryana.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioners apprised the Chairperson that various awareness campaigns are being carried out at local level in each district to educate the farmers regarding the ill effect of stubble burning. An incentive amount of Rs. 1000/- per acre to farmers for bailing (In-Situ Management) is being given by the State Government and along with transportation charges of bales at Rs. 500 per acre limited to maximum Rs. 15,000/- to Gaushalas. Special provision for additional top up assistance of Rs. 500/MT in addition to the current provision of assistance at Rs. 500/MT thereby, a total Rs. 1000/MT is being provided to the cluster identified by IOCL for 2G ethanol plant for supply of roughly 2 lakh MT residue management. Approximately 13 lakh MT crop residues will be utilized in Industries for Biomass plants, compressed biogas (CBG) plants, paper/cardboard industry and Industrial boilers. Apart from it various private players are buying the crop residue directly from the farmers at a decent rate for converting them further into bales.
Chief Secretary apprised the Chairperson, CAQM that the robust initiative taken by the Haryana Government is drawing positive results and significantly supporting in reducing the effects of stubble burning and in future also we are expecting outstanding results. All the Deputy Commissioners are strenuously working towards reducing the effect of stubble burning by 50 percent and more in comparison to the last year figures. He further said that Deputy Commissioner at district level and Sub Divisional Magistrate at Sub Divisional Level have been designated as nodal officers for prevention of crop residue burning. Officials in Red zone villages and yellow zone villages have been deputed. Flying squads are constituted for taking enforcement measures against the defaulters and a dedicated control room at District Level has been established.
Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Smt. Sumita Misra stated that we are ensuring mass awareness campaigns in every district highlighting the ill effect of stubble burning. We have spotted red zone areas and also made concrete provision so that we can curb the burning of straw in identified areas. While ensuring real time monitoring we are also ensuring technological inputs along with adequate baling machines which will collectively yield positive results. During the current year 7146 machines (5346 In-situ machines and 600 baling units i.e. 1800 Ex-situ machines 2022-23) were made available to the farmers. She added that main emphasis is given on providing Super Seeder, Baling unit & Zero Till Seed cum Fertilizer Drill.

Haryana beats Delhi, Punjab and Chandigarh in Nipun Yojana
Outstanding performance at National Level in Hindi, English and Mathematics
Chandigarh, October 10– In the National Examination 2022 under Nipun Bharat, Nipun Haryana programme, the students of Haryana have performed better than Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh along with outstanding National Averages in Hindi, English and Mathematics.
The impact of the Nipun Haryana programme under the leadership of Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal and Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal is now visible on the ground. State Education Minister, Sh. Kanwar Pal said that the first priority of the State Government and the Education Department is to provide free tablets and 2 GB data free to all 37,000 PRT teachers of the state as part of this plan of the government. It is the effect of the training programmes running under the Nipun Haryana programme that now the students of classes 1 to 3 in the schools are not only learning through recreational activities but also enhancing their knowledge. He added that figures from the NCERT-conducted National Examination 2022 report are quite remarkable
Giving information about the report of Foundational Learning Study, Assistant Director, Sh. Kuldeep Mehta said that according to class III at the national level, only 46 percent students have achieved this level and successfully qualified the minimum global competency parameters, whereas in Haryana this skill is achieved. 65 schools secured 20 marks more than the national level. While 65 per cent students of Haryana are proficient in Hindi language as per class III level, the average of students of Delhi is only 50 per cent while in Chandigarh only 55 per cent students are proficient in Hindi language. In this, the students’ understanding of spoken language and sound, letter and word decoding skills were tested.
He said that in Mathematics also Haryana has performed better than Delhi and Chandigarh. While 51 per cent of Class III students demonstrated proficiency in Mathematics, Delhi average was 47 per cent, while Chandigarh average was around 39 percent in Mathematics. In English language, students from Haryana topped with 77 per cent marks while only 66 per cent students from Punjab were found to be proficient in English language up to class III level. On the other hand, 62 per cent of students in Delhi and only 42 per cent of Chandigarh students are proficient in English at class III level.

Chandigarh, October 10- Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatreya on Monday expressed deep sorrow on the demise of former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav. We have lost a great leader of the old generation, said Shri Dattatraya in a statement.
Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav ji, also former Defence Minister, remained committed for the welfare of weaker sections of the society. He was the leader of the older generation of socialist politicians who have left an indelible mark on Indian politics, he said.
Shri Dattatraya said that Shri Mulayam Singh Yadav ji started his life as a teacher and joined politics after being influenced by Dr Ram Manohar Lohia. Born in a simple family, he struggled a lot to succeed in politics, he added.
The Governor said that as the Chief Minister, he carried out a lot of development work in Uttar Pradesh and tried to raise the standard of living of the poor, backward and deprived people throughout his life. Shri Dattatraya has expressed condolences to the bereaved family and millions of his followers, while praying to God to grant eternal peace to the departed soul.

Chandigarh, October 10- Haryana Governor Shri Bandaru Dattatraya on Monday released the book titled ‘The Harambee Factor’ written by former Ambassador Shri Gurjit Singh at Raj Bhavan. On this occasion, Chief Principal Secretary to the dChief Minister, Shri DS Dhesi and Secretary to Governor, Shri Atul Dwivedi, were also present.
Congratulating Shri Singh, Governor Shri Dattatraya said that ‘The Harambee Factor’ would prove to be important in further strengthening India’s economic and developmental partnership with Africa.
“The book will also make the readers aware of the development work done by India in Africa. Students with interest in international relations will gain insights into India’s relations with African countries, which will not only increase their knowledge but will also benefit them in preparing for competitive examinations, said Shri Dattatraya.
Shri Gurjit Singh, who has been India’s Ambassador to many Asian countries including African Union countries, Kenya, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Philippines, Germany, said that in this book economic, social and cultural relations of Africa with India during the last two decades have been described.
According to Shri Singh, ‘The Harambee Factor’ has been prepared on the basis of India-Africa policy from 2000 to 2020. This will act as a guideline to further strengthen the relations between the two countries, he added.

Chandigarh, October 10– Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal has condoled the demise of former Defense Minister of the country and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Sh. Mulayam Singh Yadav. Remembering Sh. Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Chief Minister paid his heartfelt tributes to him.
He stated that the passing of Sh. Mulayam Singh Yadav, the founder of the Samajwadi Party and Former Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, is a tragic loss for the political world. May God rest the departed soul in peace and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this tragic loss. Sh. Yadav was admitted in the hospital for a long time. He breathed his last at the age of 82.

Chandigarh, October 10- Principal Secretary, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Sh. Anurag Agarwal, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister and Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Dr. Amit Agrawal, expressed grief over the sudden demise of Deputy Director, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Sh. Jagdeep Duhan.
Dr. Amit Agrawal said that he prays to God to grant strength to his family members to bear this tragic loss. Dr. Agrawal said that Sh. Duhan was a very friendly, sincere and hardworking officer. He said that the department is firmly standing with the family of Sh. Duhan in this hour of grief.
Deputy Director, Information, Public Relations and Languages, Sh. Jagdeep Duhan, was posted at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi. He died on October 10, 2022 due to a heart attack. His last rites were performed in his native village Gangana Tehsil Gohana.
Sh. Jagdeep Duhan was born in 1972. On November 16, 2004, he started his services in the Department. His first appointment was in Bhiwani. He also served in various districts including Jind, Sonipat, Rewari, Panipat, Hisar, Mewat, Delhi, Faridabad and Chandigarh. Since February 2017, he was rendering his services as Deputy Director at Haryana Bhawan, New Delhi.
Sh. Duhan died at the age of 50. He left behind his wife, son and daughter. Information, Public Relations and Languages Department’s Additional Director, Smt. Varsha Khangwal, Joint Director, Sh. Aman Kumar, Joint Director (Press), Dr. Sahib Ram Godara, Deputy Director, Sh. Raj Singh Kadian and other officers and employees of the Department and Press Branch condoled upon Sh. Duhan’s sudden demise.

More than 1200 new buses to be added to Haryana Roadways’ fleet
Chief Minister accords approval for the same while chairing the HPPC meeting
Purchases of goods and items worth more than Rs. 2500 crore approved
Chandigarh, October 10- In a bid to provide better transportation facilities to people in the state, as many as 1275 new buses will be added to Haryana Roadways’ fleet. These include 1000 non-Ac buses, 153 AC buses and 128 minibuses. Besides this, approval was also given for the purchase of 33 buses to be separately purchased for the police department.
A decision in this regard was taken in the meeting of the High Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) and Department High Powered Purchase Committee (DHPPC) chaired by Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal held here today. During the meeting approval for the purchases of goods and items to be procured by various departments worth more than Rs. 2500 crore were approved.
Transport Minister Sh. Mool Chand Sharma, Power Minister, Sh. Ranjit Chautala, Cooperation Minister, Dr. Banwari Lal, Urban Local Bodies Minister, Sh. Kamal Gupta and Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Sh. Anoop Dhanak also remained present during the meeting.
Later addressing the media persons, Sh. Manohar Lal said that a total of 31 agendas of 11 Departments namely Transport, Irrigation, Police, PHED, HVPNL, DHVBN, UHBVN, HPGCL and various Government Departments, Boards and Corporations were tabled in the meeting. Out of which 24 agendas were approved. Most of the agendas were related to Power, Transport, and Irrigation departments, he added.
He further informed that an agenda regarding the use of torrefied biomass pellets in thermal plants was also discussed in the meeting. A decision in this regard will be taken later and the tender will be floated in the coming week.

Nandcoomar Bodha expressed the desire to work with Haryana in the field of agriculture in Mauritius
Chandigarh, October 10- Mauritius MP, Sh. Nandcoomar Bodha, who is currently on a seven-day visit to India, met the Haryana Chief Minister and discussed the friendly ties between India and Mauritius.
Sh. Nandcoomar Bodha has previously held several ministerial positions including Foreign Affairs, Tourism, and Agriculture in the Republic of Mauritius. Referring to the International Gita Mahotsav organized by the Haryana Government in Mauritius in the year 2018, Bodha thanked Sh. Manohar Lal for successfully organizing the biggest Gita festival in Mauritius.
He said that this event has created a special awareness about the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita in his country. He also expressed his desire to set up a Gita Kendra on similar lines to the already established Ramayana Centre in Mauritius.
The Chief Minister welcomed and honoured Sh. Nandcoomar Bodha and his wife Smt. Satyabhama Bodha by presenting shawls.
Sh. Manohar Lal also shared memories of his stay in the Republic of Mauritius, which is called Mini-India, during the International Gita Festival. He expressed hope that now people there will celebrate the Gita Mahotsav every year at their level and will work to take the universal message of harmony and brotherhood as taught in the Bhagavad Gita to the entire humanity.
Notably, Sh. Nandcoomar Bodha, who came to India on a personal visit with his wife Smt. Satyabhama Bodha shared that about 52 percent of the population in Mauritius is Hindus, whose ancestors had gone to Mauritius 160 years ago at the behest of the British in search of work and a good life, but were treated like bonded labourers.
Later, with their educational strength and hard work, they moved forward in life and made a special place in Mauritius. Today, in Mauritius most Indians are serving the top positions including the Prime Minister and the President.
Lauding Haryana, Sh. Nandcoomar Bodha said that today State is at the forefront in the field of agriculture. He also expressed the desire to work with Haryana in the field of agriculture in Mauritius.
Meanwhile, Sh. Manohar Lal said that he is happy that the Indians who have gone to Mauritius have kept the culture and traditions of their country alive and have upheld the principles of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.
On this occasion, India Mauritius Trade and Cultural Friendship Forum President Pritpal Singh Pannu, his wife Smt. Manjeet Kaur Pannu and National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activists (NIFA) youth wing President, Sh. Durgesh Chaudhary also remained present.
