KARGIL AUGUST 06, 2020: Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar Sonam Dorjay reviewed the arrangements for the ensuing Independence Day celebrations during a meeting of the concerned officers at Conference Hall Padum here on Wednesday.
Necessary arrangements pertaining to the celebration of Independence Day function at Zanskar Sub Division came up for thorough discussion in the meeting which was attended by the officers of Civil Administration and Police.
The Sub Divisional Magistrate informed that the Nation Flag will be hoisted at the premises of Civil Helipad Padum.
The SDM said that the Police contingent will participate in the flag hoisting ceremony amid proper social distancing norms however no school children will be allowed to participate in celebrations in view of COVID-19 pandemic situation.
The SDM stressed the officers concerned all necessary arrangements well in time so that the national function is conducted in a smooth and successful manner.
