KARGIL AUGUST 06, 2020: In connection with the celebrations of Independence Day, 2020, Sub Divisional Magistrate Drass Asgar Ali convened a meeting of the concerned officers at Conference Hall Drass here on Wednesday.
During the course of the meeting, arrangements with regard to the celebration of the Independence Day function at Drass Sub Division came up for thorough discussion.
Officers of Civil Administration and Police attended the meeting.
The Sub Divisional Magistrate said that the Nation Flag will be hoisted at the premises of Higher Secondary School Drass.
There will be no march past and cultural programmes during the celebrations this year in view of COVID-19 pandemic, the SDM said.
The SDM issued necessary directions with regard to the arrangements including security, transport, sanitation, power and water supply, medicare facilities and other required arrangements.
He also stressed the officers to ensure adequate security and other related arrangements so that the national function is conducted in a smooth and successful manner.
