Whoever does not wear a mask will be fined” – Anil Vij
Chandigarh, April 18 – Haryana Health and Family Welfare Minister, Sh. Anil Vij said that in view of the increasing cases of covid, face masks have been made mandatory in four districts of Haryana adjoining NCR namely Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat and Jhajjar. The one who will not wear a face mask will be fine.
Sh. Vij was interacting with media persons here today. He said that out of 238 cases of corona, 198 are from Gurugram and about 22 cases are from Faridabad, rest more than half of the districts in Haryana have reported zero cases of corona.
Sh. Vij said that the team was sent by him to Gurugram to study the increasing cases of corona, why the cases are increasing in Gurugram and the report of this study is yet to come. But at present, as a precaution, it has been made mandatory to apply face masks in four districts of Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat and Jhajjar adjacent to Delhi and the one who does not wear the mask will be fined.
He told that from which areas of Gurugram the cases of corona are coming and from which settlements different teams have been formed. Apart from this, samples have been sent to Rohtak to know the variant of Corona, according to which further preparations will be made. He said that “we are fully prepared, our staff is ready, our equipment, beds and oxygen are adequate”, but people should be alert this time.

Similarly, in response to a question regarding violations in medicines and food items, he said that FDA is fully alert and is consistently taking stringent actions against the violators.
**Issue of Chandigarh is directly connected with SYL- Vij*
Responding to another question on SYL, he said that “SYL is our right, a new government has been formed in Punjab, as soon as after their formation they demanded their claim on Chandigarh. They should know that the issue of Chandigarh is interconnected with SYL”.
**Wherever these freebies are being distributed, those states and countries are becoming hollow – Vij**
In response to a question regarding the announcement of 300 units of free electricity in Punjab, he said that whoever country has followed the freebie policy has not survived and become hollow. The recent example of this is Srilanka.
