The Skill Development Committee of Mehr Chand Mahajan College for Women, Chandigarh launched a course on soft skills titled ‘In-Sync: Self, Social and Shared Spaces’. The inaugural day was graced by Dr. Neeru Bali, Managing Partner of Edcosmo as the Chief Guest. Interacting with the students, Dr. Bali shared valuable tips for choosing the right career and striving for excellence. Principal Dr. Nisha Bhargava encouraged the participants to make the best use of this opportunity and hone their employability skills. Highlighting the relevance of this course, she said that soft skills are immensely significant for success in today’s era of cut throat competition. The course, consisting of forty modules, covers various topics including communication skills, time management, mental wellness, physical fitness, substance abuse, sexual health, social media, team spirit, resilience and cooperation. These modules will be covered using a blend of activities including interaction with experts, power point presentations, movies, play performance, poetry reading sessions, cultural session, circle time and much more.
