– By defying rules and regulations, gave job of lakhs of rupees to son-in-law: Raghav Chadha
Gurdaspur, November 9 2021
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Punjab president and MP Bhagwant Mann said that the Congress government talks about the treasury being empty, but the ruling Congress and its leaders should tell how the treasury fills at the time of giving jobs worth lakhs of rupees to their sons, daughters, nephews and sons-in-law. Mann said that the second big question is whether a new hospital has been built, a new school-college or a university in Punjab. If not a single new infrastructure was built, then how did the treasury become empty? Bhagwant Mann and party’s national spokesperson and Punjab Affairs co-in-charge Raghav Chadha were addressing a program in Gurdaspur on Tuesday.
On the appointment of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa’s son-in-law as Additional Advocate General (AAG) of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann said that unemployed sons and daughters of common households of Punjab are not on the agenda of the ruling Congress; but they ‘make hay while the sun shines’. He said the son, nephew and son-in-law of Congress MLA Rakesh Pandey, Beant Singh’s family; Gurpreet Singh Kangar, Fateh Jung Singh Bajwa and Pratap Singh Bajwa are the latest examples.
Bhagwant Mann said that every common man pays tax on every small and big thing; then who has emptied the treasury. He said that the leaders who robbed the treasury of Punjab are those of the ruling governments, who have built their palaces in luxurious places with the tax of the people. “The state whose king will be a merchant, the people there themselves will become beggars and this is the reality of today’s Punjab,” he added. Bhagwant Mann said that the Congress has only changed the engine, but all the coaches of the vehicle are the same old, which are part of the mafia rule.
He further said that the people form the government not to loot themselves but for their development. As a result, today’s Punjab needs an honest and good government, which develops every section fairly. Bhagwant Mann has appealed to the people of Gurdaspur and Punjab that they have a chance this time to make the future bright and prosperous by making the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) win. Mann said that Majha-Malwa has struggled a lot at different times; so this time by defeating the fraudulent political parties, make Punjab once again prosperous by making the AAP win.
AAP’s national spokesperson, Punjab Affairs co-in-charge and Delhi MLA Raghav Chadha said that the Congress government has given Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa’s son-in-law the job of Additional Advocate General, whose annual salary is Rs 15 lakh. But the sons and daughters of the common households of Punjab were not given jobs. He said that for appointment to the post of Additional Advocate General, it is mandatory to have at least 16 years of experience as a lawyer; but the experience of Deputy Chief Minister Randhawa’s son-in-law is only 12-13 years. Chief Minister Channi could not legally give a job to Deputy Chief Minister Randhawa’s son-in-law, he said.
Despite this, giving a gift to Randhawa’s son-in-law is tantamount to rubbing salt in the wounds of the people of Punjab. Raghav Chadha said that the people have given a golden opportunity this time to get rid of all the problems. He asked the people of Punjab to give a chance to Arvind Kejriwal this time. Chadha said that the people of Punjab have a chance to take revenge along with interest from the leaders and political parties who ruined the prosperity of Punjab. If the AAP comes to Punjab, then the Congress-Akali will be wiped out, he said.
