Financial assistance is being provided to needy for treatment of 25 chronic diseases from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

Chandigarh, May 26 – Haryana Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Sh. Anoop Dhanak directed the officers not to keep pending cases of financial assistance which is being provided to the needy from Chief Minister’s Relief Fund under serious diseases as such people are in dire need of financial assistance.

Sh. Anoop Dhanak was presiding over the review meeting on matters related to Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in Hisar today.

It was appraised in the meeting that financial assistance is provided to the people suffering from 25 different chronic diseases under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. These diseases include serious health problems related to heart, kidney and cancer. He said that under the relief fund, 25 percent of the amount is approved by the civil surgeon and a maximum of Rs. 1 lakh is provided to the person suffering from chronic illness. It was further informed in the meeting that now online applications are being received for financial assistance. A district level committee has also been constituted for speedy action in such cases.
