Following Paswan’s death, Piyush Goyal gets additional charge of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution

New Delhi, October 9. As advised by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the President of India has assigned Cabinet Minister Piyush Goyal the additional charge of Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, in addition to his existing portfolios. He is currently holding the position as Minister of Railways and Minister of Commerce and Industry. This replacement was made following the death of the LJP founder, Ram Vilas Paswan on the evening of 8^th October, 2020.
