KARGIL JUNE 18, 2021: The Department of Physical Education and Sports, Government Degree College (GDC) Drass organized an online Yoga and sports skill demonstration competition here today.
The competition was organized with the objective to instill the passion for sports in students and to make them aware about the importance of Yoga during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yet another objective of the competition was to spread awareness among youngsters as to how yoga and sports can heal the physical and mental diseases.
The participants were given 6 days time for submission of videos demonstrating yoga asanas and sport skills.
The whole competition was organized under the supervision of the Principal GDC Drass Dr Amjad Ali Abassi and was successfully conducted by the Director Physical Education and Sports Mustafa Ali and Assistant Professor Commerce Shujat Ali Mir.
20 students from different semesters participated in the Yoga and sports skill demonstration competition.
Waseem Bilal of 3rd semester, Hakima Banoo of 6th semester and Shakeel Ahmad form 3rd semester secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively.
The meritorious participants are being felicitated with cash prizes and e- certificates.
